There’s ambient heat energy all around us, emitted by everything, called Black-Body Radiation. This is what Thermal Cameras “see” to measure temperature, and the heat you can feel radiating from warm objects. It’s in the air, in the sea, and even in ice! For example, ice feels cold because naturally it absorbs more heat than it’s emitting, but 3.2m² ice is actually continuously emitting about the same amount of heat as a 1kW heater!

Despite being abundant, the key issue has always been how to efficiently harness this energy. This is where Ubiquetherm’s unique approach comes into its own. Our technology uses cutting-edge nanomaterials to concentrate and direct ambient thermal energy to where it’s needed. The material can be arranged in a number of different ways, and be constructed to either make a surface or a liquid hotter or cooler.
